Chaos Photography......in the
beginning.
I am Chaos Photography creator Brad Letcher,
a Civil Engineer by trade, but racing, hockey and photography are my passions. It is strange to
think that standing a few feet away from a speeding car or jumping
motorcycle is relaxing, but it is to me.
In 1993, while
racing motocross, hare scrambles and short track motorcycles, I picked up a Canon T90 and began
taking photos of his friends and fellow racers. Chaos Photography
was born a few
years after as the cost of giving away photos to not only friends but also
other competitors was getting too high. I soon found myself
sending photos and
racing reports to the national newspaper Cycle News
on a regular basis.
In 2001, CP began taking
shots of long-time sponsor, First Class Design's Mark McDonald, at
the Dakota State Fair Speedway as he switched from a quad to a street
stock car. As summer changed over to winter, CP
began taking photos of the Huron All Stars high school hockey team.
The exciting new challenge was met a few years later with a new camera, a Canon Elan
7E.

As 2006 began, CP has once
again transformed as a Canon 20D digital camera was purchased.
The digital format has changed the way photos are viewed. No
longer must you wait for processing, as the photos can be viewed
immediately or on this website. CP has changed
photo printing companies and continues to search for more photo
options. CP has teamed up with Brooker Designs,
On the Edge Graphics and First Class Design for a wide range of
photo products. CP copyrighted photos can be
used at any of these businesses without additional fees.
Chaos Photo has gone through
another change as this website has been redesigned. The
simplicity for viewing photos and products has been combined
with a fresh new look. Photos from 2006 and 2007 are still
available for viewing and purchase.
As
Chaos Photography moves into the future, we want to thank you for being a part of it.
Sincerely,
Brad |
